District 16 is the host district for the Adelaide L. Sanford Institute’s Oratory Competition.   Dr. Adelaide Sanford is the former principal of District 16 School and it is D16’s honor to be the host location for the event.

Science / STEM Fair

We are excited to announce our 3rd annual Science/STEM Fair. Science fairs involve the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, skills necessary to prepare students to be college and career ready.  Come meet all the exemplary students and view their work.

Promising Practice Fair

Elementary & Middle School Admissions

The District will host one event highlighting both the elementary and middle school admissions process.  This includes Pre-K and K as well as the unique features in District 16  (i.e. non-zoned schools and G&T programs).

Fall Crawl

District 16 schools, in conjunction with community partners (CBOs) and our neighboring Charter Schools, will engage in District-Wide Open Houses which will give the community the opportunity to “crawl” and visit our schools. Stop by, chat with school staff about the programs and initiatives and hear about expectations and plans for our school communities.
